Families & Children

Children and families are a valued part of the life of St Paul’s. We are committed to their development and to their thriving in a safe environment.

On Sunday mornings during term time, we have a crèche between 10:45 and 13:15, to enable parents and guardians to enjoy the 11:00 Solemn Eucharist – and refreshments afterwards – without having to worry about keeping their young ones occupied and quiet during the service!

The crèche takes place in the church hall (a 2-minute walk from the church on Kinnerton Street) and is run by a professional child carer assisted by volunteers from the SPK community, all of whom have undergone the appropriate Safeguarding training and DBS checks. We take mobile numbers for parents and guardians so that, if needed, they can be contacted by SMS during the service.

We also have a number of special services designed for families with children, including Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, and the Crib Service on Christmas Eve.

Along with the other churches and Anglican communities and projects in the Diocese, St Paul’s strives to ensure that it provides safe space. You can find out both about what we offer, and how we ensure proper safeguarding of our children and other vulnerable members, by speaking to us.
