Lent Appeal 2023

…But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you…. Matthew 6.3-4
You are invited to give generously to the Parish Lent Appeal this year. It’s proceeds will be divded between:
- Aid to the people of Turkey and Syria in the wake of the devastating earthquake there (through the national DEC Appeal) ;
- Aid agencies in Ukraine seeking to support the displaced and war-torn people there a year after Russia’s invasion (through the national DEC Appeal) ;
- Trauma Support work in northern Mozambique with the million plus people displaced by violent insurgency since 2017 (through our Diocesan ALMA link) .
If you are a UK tax-payer, you can give tax-efficiently through the Gift Aid Scheme, allowing us further to increase the value of your donation.
You can make your donation by:
- Direct bank transfer, with reference ‘LENT APPEAL’ (Click here to request our bank details)
- Credit card by clicking this link (please note we will be charged a 2.5% handling fee for processing car donations, so for larger sums, direct bank transfer is preferable!)
- Cash (using the yellow Gift Aid envelopes if you are eligible for Gift Aid, clearly marked ‘LENT APPEAL’
- Cheque, made payable to ‘St Paul’s Knightsbridge PCC’ and clearly marked LENT APPEAL, and either placed in a yellow Gift Aid envelope, or sent to the parish office.
AN EVENING OF GENEROSITY: SPK Matched Funding Charity Event
All donations, however small, are welcome. But are you in a position to give £250 or more to the Appeal this year? Imagine if that £250 were, immediately, to be worth £500.
