Lent Appeal 2017

Lent began on Ash Wednesday 1st March. The DIOCESAN LENT APPEAL is for the work of ALMA – our Diocesan partnership with Angola and Mozambique. The Lent Appeal will support ‘church’ projects, which would find it difficult to attract other funding and this includes helping Lebombo (Southern Mozambique) in initiating a significant project to create a new accredited seminary outside Maputo to train the next generation of church leaders. St Paul’s has an emerging link with the parish of All Saints, Nhamavila, also in the Diocese of Lebombo, and we will hopefully find a way to bring Fr Alfredo Nhabetse to visit us in London.

Please will you put your thinking caps on to identify innovative ways to raise funds for this important work? Host a dinner? Plan an event? Come up with a cunning strategy?   And then will you speak to Fr Alan or Fr Louis about it? You are, after all, one of the more enterprising congregations in London…

And what about buying some delicious Rococo Absolution Chocolate bars! You can see what is available on their website and you can order bars (at £5 each) by contacting Felicity in the Church Office ( or (020) 7201 9999) who can mail them to you or leave them for you to collect when you’re next in church. See what some of our friends have to say about it here!.
