Join us in Lyon, France 6-9 June 2016

Posted on: Friday 26th February 2016

We warmly invited you to join us for a four day trip to Lyon, France  to get to know the area and one another – and to think in a focussed way about faith and prayer. Lyon is France’s third largest city with a charm that beguiles. Its  architectural history stretches back to Roman and pre-Roman times and it has one of the finest art collections in Europe, the Musee des Beaux Arts.  More than this, it is famed for gastronomy – and since eating together is always part of Parish Trips, good food is assured! You can find out about this amazing city by clicking the image below.

Lyon Tourism

The framework for Parish Trips is simple:  each day is a day of three parts. In the morning we pray together and then learn, think and study until lunchtime.  Lunchtimes and afternoons are free for you to use as you wish (and optional visits and tours are available).  In the early evening we gather again for Evening Prayer and then conversation, drinks and dinner – in the course of which our aim is to sit next to the people we know least well! By the end of the three days we usually find ourselves enriched by having learned, shared, connected and having been active together in a stimulating environment – and with time for space and rest too!

We leave YOU free to decide how to travel and to arrange your own tickets (a range of options is suggested) and similarly we invite you to find lodgings somewhere central to suit your budget.
