Weekly Services
Daily Prayer is at the heart of the Christian life – both the Offices of the Church and the daily celebration of the Eucharist/Mass/Holy Communion. At St Paul’s we join with our Anglican brothers and sisters in the Rites of the Church of England and use ‘traditional language’ in our formal public prayer. Whatever your tradition, you will be welcome to join us.
Sunday
09:00 : Family Mass with hymns and homily
11:00 : Solemn High Mass with choir and sermon
18:00 : Said Evening Prayer
Monday to Friday
During the month of December, our usual pattern of weekday services is revised to accommodate the Carol Services of the many charitable organisations who chose to celebrate this season at St Paul’s. Therefore there is only one service each day during the week (including Wednesdays, although Saturday remains as below):
9:30 : Low Mass (said)
All other times
09:00 : Morning Prayer (said)
18:00 (except Wednesday) : Low Mass (said)
Wednesdays (except during December)
18:45: The Wednesday Evening Service is a less formal Eucharist, with music and a short sermon, and provides an opportunity for quiet and reflection for all, particularly those unable to attend on Sundays. It takes place in the chancel and is followed by refreshments.
Saturday
09:00 : Morning Prayer
12:00 : Low Mass (said)
The Church is usually open for prayer from 9.00 until 18:30. A priest is available after every service or by appointment.
Service times and notes of special events and church closures are posted in the porch of the church each week. You can find out more by calling the Church Office on 020 7201 9999.
